Officers & Positions

MV Boys Hockey Booster Executive Board

President, Vice President, Treasurer, Communications, Member at Large (Varsity) and Member at Large (Junior Varsity)

PRESIDENT: Steph Esson

Primary responsibility for general club organization and planning. First point of contact for funding requests from the Head Coaches or team. Maintains direct communication with club Treasurer to ensure budget needs are met; also required to be added as a 2nd signer on MV Boys Hockey Booster bank account. Example of tasks commonly coordinated by President include:

• Maintenance of club By-Laws

• Team apparel ordering (with Captains) and general spirit wear selections

• Team / event scheduling, include team meals (events may have specific Chairs)

• Coordination with MVI Foundation Representative for funding needs

• Coordination of Captains Practices (scheduling ice and coaches)

• Fundraising events (if Chair is not separately named)

VICE PRESIDENT: OPEN

Maintain team website with current postings on events, team information, and schedule. Work with the Head Coaches and President on making all schedule changes accurately and timely.  Chair the Annual Golf Tournament or delegate Chair/Co-chair 

TREASURER: Gail Lust

Primary responsibility for maintaining  501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, including annual tax filing, and managing bank account and all funds received through fundraising, donations or other income sources (merch sales, Booster fees, etc.). Also responsible for ensuring club bills are paid from account and issuing payments for reimbursement requests.  

• Create annual budget and report status to club Executive Board at each meeting (or as requested by any club member)

• Direct and frequent communication with President

COMMUNICATIONS: Kelly Walseth

Schedule monthly booster club meetings and take minutes at the meetings and post to website. Follows up with Booster club on deadlines and commitments. Publish team newsletters.
